Leaving New York, which was once Nieuw Amsterdam, Rob Rombout and Rogier van Eck drive west through every American town that shares their city's name. Sheriffs, poets, cowboys, a Vietnam DJ and a civil-rights veteran tell their own stories, in their own time. Over four chapters and six hours, a borrowed name becomes a way into a whole country.
